The thesis focuses on some spontaneous practices – authorized or not – within some areas of the port of Ancona, in a process of evanescent transformation. The work was divided into four parts. The results are based on morphological game of contraction and expansion to the water and the ground, that the commercial port has had during the different centuries, as well as the denial of the sea to the people, trying to reconstruct an imaginary land of water that makes possible the coexistence of the different actions, until now scattered and conflicting.
